Threaded Fittings Manufacturer in India — NPT & BSPT

Teshi Group is an OEM manufacturer of forged threaded (screwed) fittings with NPT threads to ASME B1.20.1 or BSPT to BS 21, for instrument, utility and small-bore process lines. Elbows, tees, crosses, couplings, caps, plugs, bushings and hex nipples are machined from ASTM A105 and A182 F304/F316 forgings in Class 2000, 3000 and 6000. Thread gauging is recorded for every batch.

Thread gauging is recorded for every batch — NPT to ASME B1.20.1, BSPT on request.

ASME B16.11 pressure class and matching pipe schedule

Forged fitting class is chosen to match the wall thickness of the pipe it joins.

FAQ

Threaded Fittings: common questions

What thread forms are available?

NPT taper threads to ASME B1.20.1 as standard, and BSPT taper threads to BS 21 / ISO 7-1 on request.

Which pipe schedule matches each threaded class?

Under ASME B16.11, Class 2000 threaded fittings correspond to Schedule 80 pipe, Class 3000 to Schedule 160 and Class 6000 to XXS.

When should threaded fittings not be used?

Piping codes restrict threaded joints in severe cyclic, crevice-corrosion and high-temperature service. In those cases socket weld or butt weld fittings are normally specified.
