Custom Fabrication: common questions
What do you need to quote a fabrication job?
An isometric or fabrication drawing, the bill of materials with grades and schedules, the applicable code, NDT percentage, painting or coating specification and delivery location.
Are your welders and procedures qualified?
Yes. Welding procedure specifications and welder performance qualifications are maintained to ASME Section IX, and are submitted for approval before fabrication when the order requires it.
What testing can be done on fabricated spools?
Radiography, ultrasonic, dye-penetrant and magnetic-particle examination, positive material identification, hydrostatic testing and third-party inspection as specified.
