Nickel alloys are used where stainless steels run out of corrosion or temperature resistance. With 30–99 % nickel and additions of chromium, molybdenum, copper or tungsten, they resist strong acids, chlorides, caustics and oxidation from cryogenic temperatures to above 1000 °C.
