Notes
- Weights are approximate net weights per piece in kg for carbon steel, for estimation, freight and packing only. For austenitic stainless steel multiply by about 1.01–1.02.
- Reference values for estimation and checking. Verify against the current edition of the standard and the purchase specification before design, purchase or fabrication.
Reference information compiled from the published standard for convenience. It does not replace the current edition of the governing standard, which takes precedence. Lap Joint Stub End Weight Chart (kg): common questions
What is a stub end used for?
A stub end is welded to the pipe and backed by a loose lap joint flange, so the flange can be in cheaper carbon steel while only the stub end matches the pipe material.
